Trainspotting Review

Trainspotting Review

This 1996 film was based upon Irwin Welsh's book of same name. It features Renton (Ewan McGregor) as the main character and we follow his life filled of ups and downs. Renton is a heroine junkie always looking to score his next fix. He has a few friends, Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Tommy (Kevin McKidd) and his psycho friend Begbie (Robert Carlyle).

What's so great about this movie is the special effects that can be seen in some scenes. Like who can forget the scene with the "worst bathroom in Scotland" or when Renton gets forced by his parents to go cold turkey ?

Another thing that's great about this movie is the soundtrack. The soundtrack alone deserves praise. It's one of my favorite movie soundtrack of all time.

I give this movie a 8/10. If you enjoyed this movie, then you might also enjoy Requiem For A Dream.
