Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures Review

Amy Winehouse Lioness Hidden Treasures Review
Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures Review

This is an album which contains unreleased material. This album contains 12 songs and plays for about 45 minutes. The cover illustrates very well the mood portrayed on these songs. You almost feel like you're on vacation, sipping alcohol on a beach somewhere. The album also includes the song Body And Soul which Amy recorded with Tony Bennett. The tempo for most songs on this album is very slow compared to her song Rehab which was on her Back To Black release. There is however a faster paced track Like Smoke, which features Nas.

As the CD title says, it's a hidden treasures album. Meaning, not necessarily tracks that she would have released on her next album. Does this mean that all tracks on the album aren't good enough? No, there are some good tracks, but not enough to make me want to buy the album.

Overall, the album is ok, but that's all.  I give it 6/10.
