Our Idiot Brother Review

Our Idiot Brother Review
Our Idiot Brother Review

The movie's title should be "You're an idiot for paying good money to see this movie". I'm not joking around, this movie which is supposed to be a comedy wasn't at all funny. The movie is about Ned (Paul Rudd) who never had a real job. He's this free spirit, honest type of person and he believes that everyone is nice. It starts with Ned who gets caught for selling pot to a police officer. After 8 months spent in jail, Ned gets out. He decides to move in with his mom. When it doesn't work out anymore, he moves in with his sister Liz (Emily Mortimer). He's all kinds of bad influence on their son. He ends up getting kicked out wherever he goes. Nobody wants to have him around and he's treated like the black sheep of the family. He's certainly not someone you'd want to share a secret with, as he would probably end up saying it out loud.

To think that this movie features Paul Rudd is too bad. I like the guy, but man, this movie was one of the worse, most uninteresting I've ever seen. It's too bad for Zooey Deschanel also. Thankfully she's now starring in a good tv series New Girl.

I give this movie a 2/10
