Metric Old World Underground, Where Are You Now Review

Metric is a Canadian based band that was formed in 1988 in Toronto. The group consists of vocalist Emily Haines (she also plays keyboard), guitarist James Shaw, bassist Josh Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key. Their first full-length album was released in 2003 and this review is about that album. It contains 10 tracks and plays for about 37 minutes. What's Metric sound? Well it's kind of a mix between indie-rock and new wave, as they use a lot of keyboards and distorted guitar in their songs. A lot of Metric's songs have been used in a number of TV shows, movies and video games. For example, their song "Combat baby" is featured in the game Rock Band 3 and "Dead disco" was used in a episode of the TV show Grey's Anatomy. Here are the 3 singles from the album:

Combat Baby

Succexy

Dead Disco

You definitely need to check out this band. For their debut album, I give them a 8/10.
