The Island Review

The Island Review

Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson play in this futuristic movie about residents living in a isolated facility after a supposedly catastrophic event leading to human race extinction. The movie was directed by Michael Bay. Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) is like a child and he's very curious about everything. When he meets his friend technician James (Steve Buscemi) he always asks him a million questions. One day, Lincoln finds a butterfly while on his way to meet his friend James. He asks himself how a butterfly could live all the way over there and he decides to explore further. He finally finds out that the lottery game, which is supposed to take you to the last paradise place on planet earth isn't real. That's when he ruses over to his friend Jordan Two Delta (Scarlett Johansson) to ask her to escape with him.

The movie is jam-packed with action. There's hardly a moment where nothing's happening. The cast is very good and Scarlett is as cute as ever in this movie.

I give this movie a 8/10!
