Jessie J - Who You Are Review

Jessie J Who You Are Review
Jessie J - Who You Are Review

Jessie J (whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish) is kind of what you'd get if you mixed Katy Perry and Ke$ha together. She's only 23 and already you can feel that she's meant for bigger things. Her album Who You are was released in February 2011 and she's been around since 2006. So it's clear to see that she's worked hard to get to where she is right now. This album is all over the place when it comes to genres. Her first track "Price Tag' is a mix of reggae with pop, sometimes it's really pop like her track "Abracadabra", sometimes it's ballads like her song "Casualty Of Love", sometimes it sounds like something from a cabaret like her song "Mamma Knows Best".

Best tracks on the album include "Price Tag", "Nobody's Perfect", "Do It Like A Dude". It's unfortunate, but it feels like this album has a lot of filler songs. Definitely not an album you can listen from start to finish without skipping a few tracks.

I give this album a 6/10
