Homeland TV Series Episode One Review

Homeland TV Series Episode One Review
Homeland TV Series Episode One Review

Homeland is a psychological thriller show about Sergent Brody (Damian Lewis) who went missing for about 8 years in a deep undercover mission in Afghanistan where he got caught. While on a mission, a group of military found Brody in a cave. When Brody got back to the U.S., he seemed confused, distant and empty. Upon his return, Sergent Brody is treated like a hero, but agent Carrie (Claire Danes) has reason to believe that he has flipped sides and is working with the terrorists. Which is why she set up surveillance equipment at Brody's house. When her team installs the equipment, we learn that Carrie is taking medication for psychotic behavior, which doesn't help her credentials, making her seem crazy to her peers.

This show reminds me a lot of the movie Manchurian Candidate with Denzel Washington.

So far I've only watched the pilot and I'm already hooked!

I highly recommend it!  I give the pilot a 8/10
