A Beautiful Mind Review

A Beautiful Mind Review

This movie is based on the life of John Nash, a Nobel Prize winner in Economics. Russell Crowe plays the role of John Nash, a very talented mathematician who's at Princeton University. He meets his roommate Charles, who's the complete opposite of John. John is a very private person and he's very peculiar. He's definitely not very good with the female form. When he approaches women, he's most likely to get slapped in the face. Unfortunately for John, he starts to develop paranoid schizophrenia. He meets a beautiful woman named Alicia in a class he teaches. Alicia is not like the other women that John has met. She's nice to him and likes him for who he is.

The movie was directed by big time director Ron Howard and also stars Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Paul Bettany and Christopher Plummer.

Russell Crowe offers a Oscar performance in this movie. You can truly believe that he is crazy. Before this film, I didn't know about John Nash. So I have no way to verify if this movie is accurate or not. But in any case, it was very well done.

For Crowe's performance alone, I give this movie a 8/10.
