Tower Heist Review

Tower Heist Review
Tower Heist Review

On paper, this movie seemed to be promising. I mean c'mon! Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller and Matthew Broderick, all reunited in one movie? Bring it on, right? Wrong! Let's be honest, Eddie Murphy has been on a down slide for a while now. Same can be said about Ben Stiller. They were funny once, but now no one cares about them. Not even Matthew Broderick could save the movie! So what is the movie about? Ben Stiller plays Josh Kovacs, a building manager of a luxury apartment complex. For Josh, his life couldn't be more perfect. He loves his job, he's good at it, and his boss likes him.

Unfortunately, Josh's boss has problems with the IRS and must shut down the tower. Josh learns that the employee's pension funds have vanished and he later learns that his boss took every penny. Josh is furious and decides to come up with a plan to get back the money that was stolen from them.

As usual, Eddie Murphy tries way too hard to be funny, and it shows. The only reason that I did finish the movie, was to see how it would end. There were interesting parts to the movie, but not enough to make up for the poor acting.

Overall, this movie didn't do it for me at all. Thus I give this movie a 5/10.
