This Means War Review

This Means War Review
This Means War Review

This means war is the perfect compromise for a couple's movie. It has chick flick parts, it has plenty of funny parts and it has a dash of secret agent/action scenes. The story of this movie is about Lauren (Reese Witherspoon), who's a successful businesswoman with a crappy social life. She doesn't have a boyfriend and she keeps bumping into her ex-boyfriend who has everything, including a soon to be wife. She couldn't be more jealous. That's when she decides to give online dating a go. She meets Tuck (Tom Hardy) on a dating website and she decides to meet him in person. Tuck works as a CIA agent, but when he meets Lauren, he lies to her by telling her that he's a travel agent. After her date with Tuck, Lauren bumps into Tuck's partner FDR (Chris Pine). FDR instantly has attraction to her and decides to stalk Lauren to her work office, begging her for a date with him. She finally accepts to go out with him.

The next day while at work, Tuck and FDR decide to show each other a photograph of the girl of their dreams, but they are very shocked to learn that they are both dating the same girl, Lauren. That's when the funny parts begin!

This movie felt like True Lies, the 1994 blockbuster with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but adapted for our generation.

This movie was highly enjoyable and I give it a solid 8/10.
