Chronicle is the story about 3 young men from high school who stumble upon an unknown object buried in a whole in a forest. After touching this said object, they gain super powers. But with this special ability, what would you be capable of? Would you use it for good or for evil purposes? That's pretty much the whole story here.
The movie is shot amateuresque, a-la Blair Witch Project and it brings some degree of realism, but only to some extent. If I had to compare this movie to something, I'd say that it's a mix between the tv series Heroes and the movie Hancock featuring Will Smith. Only difference is that this movie features a bunch of unknown actors.
While being a simple movie the concept was well executed and it was still entertaining to watch.
I give this movie a 7/10.
