The tagline for this movie is "Nothing Spreads Like Fear". This is very accurate for this movie. The movie features big Hollywood names such as Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard. This movie reminded me of the 1995 movie Outbreak with Dustin Hoffman, Rene Russo and Morgan Freeman but was adapted to our time. The movie starts off with Gwyneth in Hong Kong at a local casino. She appears sick with some kind of flu. When she returns home to her husband Matt Damon in Chicago, her condition has gotten worse. Then there's doctor Winslet who's out in the field, acquiring information about the disease. There's also Jude Law who's a journalist/blogger on the internet, and he has a lot of followers online. He claims to know the truth about the disease and how to cure it.
If you were scared when we were informed of H1N1, then this movie might definitely not be for you. But if you're curious and open minded and you don't freak out easily, then you'll want to see this one.
The acting was very good and the movie kept me on the edge of my seat.
