Larry Crowne Review

Larry Crowne Review
Larry Crowne Review

With superstar names like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, you'd expect a pretty good movie, am I right? Wrong. This movie was actually directed by Tom Hanks himself. This is not the first time that Hanks sat in the director's chair. He also directed That Thing You Do in 1996. It's unfortunate because the movie isn't really anything special. The story is about Larry Crowne (Tom Hanks) who just got fired from his job at a big surface store because he wasn't educated enough. Larry can't believe it since he's always done such a great job and won employee of the month so often. He decides to apply to college so that this can never happen again. That's where he meets Mercedes (Julia Roberts), a unhappily married teacher. There isn't much else to talk about. That's pretty much everything that can be said about the movie.

I give it 5/10 because of its unoriginality.
