Like it's been done a million times before, The Change-Up is another movie about two guys who make a wish that they could have each others lives. As they pee in a fountain, their wish becomes a reality. Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) is a wannabe actor whose quit everything he ever started. He has been in mostly crappy commercials. Dave (Jason Bateman) is a very successful lawyer in a big firm. As both of them get a taste of his friend's life, they realize that they liked their own lives better before. They also realize that despite seeming happy, none of them were really happy with their lives. For example, Mitch who appears to be a ladies man, actually only has sex with Tatiana, a woman who's fully pregnant. And as for Dave, while his babies looked cute, taking care of them is proving to be a real hassle.
As I said, this idea has been done so many times before. Does this movie really add anything new? Not really no. For that reason, I give this movie a 5.5/10
