Real Steel Review

Real Steel Review
Real Steel Review

The year is 2020, and boxers are now being replaced with robots. Hugh Jackman plays Charlie Kenton, a former boxer who now owns his very own robot to fight for him. Problem is that Kenton is knee deep in debt and that he's not very good with controlling his robots. We see him lose 2 robots in the beginning of the movie, and those robots were very expensive.

The movie becomes more interesting when Kenton learns that his ex-girlfriend died, leaving him in custody of his son Max. He must take care of him for the whole summer until Max's aunt comes back from Italy to take him back.

Charlie and Max go out together to find another robot, since Kenton destroyed 2 robots already, and that's when Max stumbles onto Atom, a used robot, left to die.

Despite this movie having a nice story with the son max, it didn't really touch me. It felt kinda meh.

I give it 6/10.
