Since this movie is what you call a *reboot*, you can watch it without seeing the other X-Men movies first. And I have to say, surprisingly enough, in my humble opinion, this is the best X-Men movie to come out yet! And it stars rather newcomer actors! James McAvoy plays the role of Professor Xavier and Michael Fassbender plays the role of Magneto in this movie about mutants. This movie has it all... Its got lots of action scenes, light comedy moments and thriller. There's also Kevin Bacon who plays Sebastian Shaw, the murderer of Magneto's parents. Throughout this movie, young Magneto tries to find Sebastian to obtain the revenge he seeks since he was a child. There are no moments in this movie that are long and it's very enjoyable to watch.
Despite the fact that you don't have to watch the first 3 movies before this one, it's fun to know some things about the previous films as this movie explains facts about things that happened in the other movies.
I highly recommend this movie! I give it a solid 8/10.
