Moneyball Review

Moneyball Review
Moneyball Review

Based on a true story Moneyball is a movie about Billy Beane (played by the talented Brad Pitt). Billy is a general manager for a professional baseball team, the Oakland Athletics and things aren't looking so great for him. Two of his all-star players decide to align with other teams, leaving Billy desperate to find quality replacements. He quickly realizes that with the talent and budget his team has, he is in no position to grab all-star players. While meeting with the general manager for the Cleveland Indians, he meets Peter Brand (played by growing star Jonah Hill) and decides to hire him as his assistant. Peter firmly believes that Billy can re-build his team with the budget that he has and with players that other teams don't want.  It's all about numbers.

Brad Pitt delivers another academy performance and Jonah Hill is actually quite serious in this movie.  We're not used to see such a serious Jonah (remember him in Super Bad?).

Overall Moneyball is good movie even for those who don't know anything about baseball.  But if you girls plan on seeing this one, I'd still suggest bringing your boyfriend along, just so he can explain some technical terms and whatnot.

I recommend it and give it a 8/10
