Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Review

Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind Review
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Review

This unusual type comedy tells the story of Joel Barish (Jim Carey) who just split with his former girlfriend Naomi. One day, while feeling down, he does something completely spontaneous and jumps on the next train to Montauk. He then meets the free spirit Clementine Kruczynski (Kate Winslet). Clementine is the complete opposite of Joel.  She's totally irrational and lives life as if everyday was her last.

After a few months, Clementine decides that she's not happy with Joel and tells him that they need to take a break. Many days later, Joel sees Clementine in a library and says hello to her, but the way that she responds doesn't make any sense to Joel.  It's like she's a complete stranger, not recognizing him at all. He later learns that Clementine visited a clinic that offers the service to completely erase your memory of someone.

You have to watch this movie more than once to really understand everything that's going on. But I have to say that the idea is very original. But the question is, would you really want to forget your ex?

I give this movie a 7/10 for its original idea.
