Due Date Review

You know that Hollywood is starting to run out of ideas when they do a remake of a perfect good movie. This movie is a bad remake of the classic movie Planes, Trains And Automobiles with John Candy and Steve Martin. This movie is about Peter (Robert Downey Jr) and Ethan (Zach Galifianakis) who must travel together across the country. Peter is a high strung person on his way back home to Los Angeles to be at the birth or his first child. Unfortunately he's on the same plane as Ethan, who says both words "bomb" and "terrorist" in the same sentence, which forces both men off the plane. After realizing that he left his wallet on the plane, Peter must agree to travel with Ethan.

Peter lacks patience and tact, while Ethan is totally worry free and very childish. Ethan's character in the movie very much resembles the one from his movie The Hangover. Only difference, he has a dog, instead of carrying around a baby.

As I said above, this is a remake of a movie that was already perfect the way it was. Why mess with the classics?

For a few laughs (and I really mean a few), I give this movie a 4/10
