So how does the sequel hold up? Is it as good and scary as the original? I say yes, and for me, it was even scarier than the first. This movie's actually a prequel to Paranormal Activity. We learn how Katie got her demon inside her. The movie this time around takes place in a big house in California where Kristi, Dan and their baby son Hunter live. In 2006, they are victim to what appears to be a robbery, but what's disturbing is that nothing was taken except Kristi's necklace, a gift that her sister Katie had given her. After that, Dan decides to install a bunch of hidden cameras in their house. Something creepy happens the night after, and their nanny instantly senses that something is wrong. She puts incense in almost every room, until Dan gets home. Dan is a man of science and does not believe in ghosts or any paranormal activity. He gets mad at the nanny and fires her right away.
Every night, the automatic pool cleaner does its job, and somehow, every morning, the pool cleaner is sitting out of the pool. Weird stuff happens almost every night. Creepy noises, footsteps, etc.
For its chill factor, I give this movie a 8.5/10
