Greatest Movie Ever Sold Review

Greatest Movie Ever Sold Review
Greatest Movie Ever Sold Review

This movie was directed by the same man who brought us the successful Super Size Me movie. In this movie director Morgan Spurlock tackles the idea of what goes on in the advertising world. He decides to make his movie only with the money that companies will give him to show their products in the movie. During the movie Morgan keeps asking himself if he's selling out. What's annoying for us viewers and even for him, is that he can only drink POM juice, he can only wear certain Merrell shoes, he can only drive a Mini, etc. Throughout the movie, you'll also see commercials for each product with Morgan appearing in them. In the beginning of the movie Morgan is very enthusiast, but when the movie is nearing its end, he's pretty discouraged as he was in his movie Super Size Me. He visits a small city in Brazil which passed a law forbidding companies from putting posters on buildings, buses, anywhere. I gotta admit that it comes as quite a shock to only see buildings with nothing on them.

Is the movie as good as Super Size Me? In my opinion no. Is it still worth watching? Sure, if you're wondering how product placement works in movies, and things like that.

I give this movie a 6.5/10
