Holly McNarland - Stuff Review

Holly Mcnarland Stuff Review
Holly McNarland - Stuff Review

I won't lie...  I bought this album only for the song "Elmo" which is a very dark song.  Holly's voice is very sexy in a psycho bitch kind of way.  You can really feel her pain throughout this song.  And the lyrics are very powerful as well.

Are there any more tracks worth listening to you're wondering?  Well, there's the first track "Numb" which is a hit on this album as well.

I kinda wish that the whole album was as dark and meaningful as that song "Elmo", but unfortunately it's not.  Now I'm not saying that the other songs don't have potential, but after the Elmo song, it's kind of hard to follow through.

Let's face it, Holly's voice is not for everyone.  And on other songs, her angry-type voice doesn't really work.  The cd cover really captures what Holly's going through on this album.

Miss McNarland's voice sounds like an angry Sarah McLachlan at times.

It's unfortunate that this album doesn't have any catchy tracks besides the two mentioned above.

For this reason I give this album a 3/10
